Park Entrance Fees:
Park entrance fees are covered for all race participants. Spectators must pay their own entry fee. You can pay for spectator entry fees
Parking
All racers will enter the main entrance, and follow the 1/2 mile road until you see buildings and a bus stop. At that point, you are welcome to unload your things and go park in the lot labeled "overflow parking". Follow directions from race day parking volunteers.
Vendors will enter the main entrance and then follow the signs for vendors, to get you as close as we can to the start/finish (shown in red).
Race Rules
All racers, team and solo, must start on the 7 mile loop. After that, you're on your own to organize your loop order. Each team member must run at least one loop, but that's it! At the furtherst point on each loop, you will collect a wristband that shows you made it out there. At the completion of each loop, you will check-in with the leader board so we can keep track of your team's mileage. Each time a relay runner completes a loop, they must hand off their timing chip to a teammate. No individual runner can run the same loop twice in a row. Your teammate can run the loop you just ran, but you, as an individual, can't go back out onto the loop you just finished when it is your turn again.
The same rules apply to solo runners. Solo runners cannot run the same loop twice in a row. The goal for all relay teams and solo runners is to get in as many miles as possible in 12 hours. You earn a point for each mile (7 mile loop = 7 points). A loop must be completed by 6 pm to count towards your overall points. So, if you're a 1/2 mile from the finish when 12 hours are up, no credit for that incomplete loop.
Aid Stations and Drop Bags
The only aid station for this race is at the start/finish line. There is one water drop (water/Tailwind) at mile 5 on the 7 mile loop.
The start/finish aid station will be stocked with amazing volunteers, fruit, pretzels, cookies, energy gels. You will also be fully hydrated with ice cold water, mandarin orange flavored Tailwind, Coke, and Ginger Ale. Although we have cups for soda, you will only be able to fill your own, personal water carrier with water/Tailwind. We will also be in constant contact with each aid station, in the instance that you need to be extracted due to an injury. Our medical team is top notch and our response rate is prompt.
All aid station will have Mandarin Orange Tailwind Endurance Fuel. You can get additional Tailwind nutrition facts here.

Lodging
Bunkhouses:
At McKinney Roughs, we are able to offer a great place for you to stay the night before and/or after your race!
You pay $40/night/person. There are three two-story bunkhouses, each with dozen bunkbeds (bring your own pillow/bedding) in them. These cabins have electricity, heated showers, air conditioning, etc. Only those staying in the dorms will have access to the showers after the race (bring your own towel/toiletries). You may request to be on a floor with only your family or running group, as long as you have a party of at least 4 people. Those who are making a solo reservation will be put on a floor with other solo racers of the same gender (not to exceed 6 people on a given floor, so that you can each have your own bunk and a bed between you).
